Spokane Police Major Crimes Detectives are investigating the robbery of the Washington Trust in the 700 block of west 2nd Ave.  The incident occurred Monday afternoon. The suspect indicated in a note he had a handgun. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
This afternoon, 09/12/2016, just after 4:30 pm, Spokane Police received a report of a robbery at the Washington Trust located in the 700 block of west 2nd Ave. The suspect entered the business, handed a note to the teller and demanded money. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.
Officers arrived on scene within a minute of being dispatched, but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his 30’s, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a light blue, button up, long sleeve shirt, baseball cap, and blue jeans.
This investigation is ongoing. Officers and investigators have been collecting evidence at the scene and interviewing witnesses.
