Update: Vehicle has been located
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives would like your help locating a silver 2016 Hyundai Veloster (similar to photo) with Washington license plates BEM8056. The vehicle was stolen earlier today by a suspect armed with a knife. If you see this vehicle call 911 immediately and do not approach the suspect as he is considered armed and dangerous. Â

Spokane County Major Crimes Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred earlier this evening in the 9000 block of N. Country Homes Blvd.
The victim reported being approached by the suspect who was armed with a knife. The suspect demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle and fled the area.
The suspect, believed to be a male who ran on foot from deputies during a traffic stop in the area earlier this afternoon, held the victim in the victim’s residence while presumably waiting for deputies to clear the area.
The suspect fled the immediate area of this incident in an unknown direction of travel.
The victim was not injured but extremely frightened during this very dangerous incident as the suspect was not known to the victim.
The suspect is described as a white male, 25-30 years old, medium/muscular build, a shaved head and tattoos on his arms and neck.
This suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who has information regarding this incident or sees this vehicle is asked to call 911.
