“Domestic Violence Shooting in North Spokane County

Early this morning, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call of a reported shooting in the 17900 block of North Hardesty Road.

While in route, deputies were advised the female suspect, later identified as 38-year-old Jennifer A. Anderson, ran from the scene into a wooded area.

Deputies quickly located Anderson in the area of North Boston Road and East Trevor Road and took her into custody without incident. Deputies also located a handgun in the area.

The adult male victim received medical attention at the scene and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The victim in this incident was served a court ordered Domestic Violence No Contact Order which was requested by Anderson in February of this year stemming from a reported assault.

Detectives continue to investigate this shooting along with an incident in April where an unidentified suspect shot at the victim’s residence. At that time, the victim stated he did not see who fired the shots but thought Anderson was the shooter.

Anderson is charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder. This is an active ongoing investigation and no further details are available at this time.
