Motorcycle/Vehicle Collision Farwell and Hwy 395
The driver of a motorcycle sustained serious and possibly life-threatening injuries when he collided with a passenger car on Farwell at Hwy. 395. Witnesses stated the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision.
This morning prior to 7:30 a.m., Spokane County Deputies responded to a reported serious injury collision on Farwell at Hwy 395.
Deputies learned from witness statements and preliminary information received at the scene, the motorcycle was traveling east on Farwell and the driver had been driving recklessly at a high rate of speed prior to the collision. The passenger car had been traveling north on Hwy. 395 but exited and turned east on Farwell when the motorcycle struck it from behind.
The adult male driver of the motorcycle was transported by Life Flight to a local hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The adult driver of the passenger car was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment but thankfully his injuries are not as serious as initially believed.
Spokane County Sheriff’s Traffic Collision Investigators were called to the scene along with SIRT Volunteers to assist with traffic control.
Farwell, between Shady Slope and Oak, will be closed until investigators have processed the scene.
