Robbery Suspect Captured
Today, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported robbery at the Petro located at 10506 W. Aero Road in west Spokane County.
A vehicle description and license plate were quickly broadcast via the radio. A few minutes later, Washington State Patrol Trooper Tom Shirey and Washington State Patrol Sergeant Greg Riddell noticed a vehicle matching the description travelling at a high rate of speed eastbound on I-90. They caught up to the vehicle in the area of the Division Street exit and the driver, later identified as 31-year-old Quentin G. Sinn, began to flee. The Troopers pursued Sinn, who exited onto 3rd Street. As Sinn approached the red light at Altamont, he drove up onto the sidewalk and into the intersection, colliding with two vehicles. Sinn fled on foot with the Troopers close behind.
Sinn was taken into custody without further incident in the back yard of a residence in the area of 4th and Altamont. Troopers stated concerned residents in the area were very helpful during the foot chase.
The occupants of the vehicle Sinn collided with were not seriously injured.
Spokane Police Department and Spokane County Major Crimes Detectives will be working together to see if Sinn is involved with several recent robberies in Spokane City and Spokane County.
The vehicle Sinn was driving, a rental, was seized for evidence pending a search warrant.
Sinn was transported to a local hospital for treatment for what
appear to be minor injuries. Once released, he will booked into the Spokane County Jail for Robbery 2nd Degree with potential additional charges of Eluding Law Enforcement and Hit and Run.
This is an active investigation and additional charges are expected.
