Serious Injury, Head-on Crash, Medical Lake Four Lakes Road
Spokane County Sheriffâ€™s Office Traffic Unit Investigators are at the scene of a serious injury, head-on collision on Medical Lake Four Lakes Rd. between Craig Rd. and Medifor Rd.Â The roadway will be closed for approximately two hours during the investigation.Â
This morning, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Spokane County Sheriffâ€™s Deputies responded to a reported two vehicle, head-on collision in the 14500 block of W. Medical Lake Four Lakes Road.
Arriving Deputies learned an eastbound Silverado pickup crossed over the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound Suburban.Â The adult driver of the Suburban had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.Â The driver of the Silverado received minor injuries and was not transported.
Due to the serious nature of the injuries, Spokane County Sheriffâ€™s Office Traffic Unit Investigators were called to the scene, as were SIRT volunteers to assist with traffic control.
With the initial information learned at the scene, distraction/inattention appears to be a factor in this collision.Â At this time, investigators do not believe impairment played a roll.Â Medical Lake Four Lakes Rd. will be closed for approximately two hours while they process evidence at the scene and work to determine a cause of this serious collision.
