Suspect Arrested for Multiple Charges for Possessing Child Pornography

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Sexual Assault Unit Detectives arrested 51-year-old Joseph W. Glenn for eleven counts of 1st Degree and one count of 2nd Degree Possession of Depictions of a Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct.

After receiving a “tip” and information from the ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force and NCMEC (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children), Sexual Assault Unit Detective Scott Streltzoff began an investigation into a report of images uploaded to cloud-based storage server believed to be child pornography.

A search warrant was obtained to view the nine images in question.  The explicit images were of nude girls whose ages were estimated to be 5 to 13 years old.

A second search warrant was requested and obtained for the information associated with the suspected account.  As a result, over 500 explicit images of young girls, estimated to be between the ages of 5 and 13 years old, were located along with additional information pertaining to the identity of a possible suspect, Joseph Glenn.  The images ranged from unidentified adult males having intercourse with the victims to victims who were nude or in various stages of undress.

With this information gained during this investigation, Detective Streltzoff developed probable cause to arrest Glenn and obtained a search warrant for Glenn’s residence located in the 16300 block of N. Hatch Rd. on November 30, 2017.

Glenn was arrested later in the afternoon without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail for eleven counts of Possession of Depictions of a Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct 1st Degree and one count of Possession of Depictions of a Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct 2nd Degree.

This investigation is ongoing as evidence and electronic devices seized as a result of the search warrant are examined, and additional charges are possible.
