Spokane man died after being shot in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE, Wash. – A 38-year-old Spokane man died after being shot at a Moses Lake apartment Friday night.

Deputies responded to Samaritan Hospital around 10 p.m. Friday after Juan Manuel Gonzalez, Jr. arrived there with a gunshot wound to the chest. He had been driven to the ER in a private vehicle. He was flown by MedStar to a Spokane hospital where he later died.

Deputies learned the shooting happened at the College Apartments, 4278 Grape Dr NE. The crime scene was found and evidence collected. Deputies also seized the car which was used to drive the victim to the hospital.

Information has led detectives to believe this shooting was not random, but rather targeted. Investigators are asking the public for any information to identify the suspect or suspect vehicle.
