Spokane PD Investigating Fatal Collision
On 09/04/15 at approximately 6:00 pm Spokane PD officers responded to the scene of a fatal collision at the intersection of E Garland Ave and N Market St. Witness statements at the scene indicated that the motorcycle entered the intersection, running a red light, at a high rate of speed before colliding with a truck. The investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the collision.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the motorcyclist and cause of death will be released by the Spokane County Medical Examiner.
Spokane PD officers are still at the scene gathering evidence. Roads were closed for several blocks around the intersection and will remain closed until the investigation is complete.
